Vivid ruby-red. Expressive red fruit liqueur and floral pastille scents are sharpened by a white pepper note, with woodsmoke and vanilla nuances emerging slowly. Juicy and sharply focused, offering bitter cherry and raspberry flavors that show a more pliant texture with aeration. Conveys depth as well as vivacity on the finish, which is firmed by gentle, slow-building tannins. This wine was aged in new and used French and American oak barrels for six months.
